1st Official Meeting
Salem Chapter of Willamette Writers will be the second Thursdays of the month, beginning January 10, 2008! Meeting facility will be West Salem Roth's, entrance and parking at rear of building. Doors will open at 6:30pm, meeting from 7-8pm. Mark your calendars! Upcoming speakers TBA.

Wow, just as I was looking around the Willamette Writers main page and thinking, "gosh, I wish they had a meeting group here in Salem", I came across this site and the salemchapter.com site. Thanks for putting the hard work into getting this off the ground just in time for me to discover it!
I've never attended a meeting like this before; I'm an unpublished author in the early stages of exploring and building my craft. Should I try an event like this, or wait until I'm ready for more of the networking sort of conversations that are no doubt a big part of these meetings?
